Lee calls for pre-emptive emergency response system as Iran war drags on

President Lee on Tuesday called on the government to pre-emptively implement an emergency response system to cope with concerns about the supply of oil and gas, as the Iran war has dragged on and disruptions of global energy markets have continued.

3.17 million barrels of oil to be released from strategic reserves

The amount to be release is roughly 3.3 percent of reserves. Released reserves will be supplied to local refiners from January to March, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said Thursday.
